Cookie Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help platforms remember your preferences, maintain your session, and understand how the platform is being used.

The Muster platform is built to run without tracking you. It does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or behavioural profiling cookies, and it does not keep you signed in with a cookie. This policy explains the small amount of data the platform does store in your browser, and why.

2. How we keep you signed in

The Muster platform does not use a cookie to sign you in or to keep you signed in. When you log in, your session is held in your browser's session storage, under a key named sb-<workspace>-auth-token. The session token is sent to our infrastructure provider (Supabase) only in the request header needed to load your data; it is never written to a cookie.

Session storage is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab and when you sign out. If you open a record in a new tab, or we ship a new release, the platform briefly copies the session into local storage so the next page keeps you signed in, then removes it. This is essential for the platform to work and cannot be turned off while you are using it.

3. Local storage

Alongside the session above, the platform keeps a few small items in your browser's local storage. All of it stays on your device and is not transmitted to any server:

  • The email address you signed in with, only if you ask the login screen to remember it, so you do not have to retype it next time.
  • A short-lived copy of your readiness data, so the daily safety check keeps working if your device loses signal, cleared once it syncs.
  • A diagnostic flag that support may ask you to switch on to troubleshoot an issue, and off again afterwards.

You can clear all of it at any time by signing out or clearing your browser's site data for getmusterhq.com.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • We do not embed third-party tracking pixels or social media widgets on authenticated pages.
  • We do not use cookies to build behavioral profiles or sell data to advertisers.
  • We do not use analytics platforms that set persistent third-party cookies.

5. Managing cookies and storage

You can control cookies and clear stored data through your browser settings. Because the platform keeps you signed in using session storage rather than a cookie, closing the browser tab, or clearing your browser's storage for getmusterhq.com, signs you out.

To clear everything Muster keeps on your device, sign out of your account or clear your browser's site data for getmusterhq.com.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we change the cookies or browser storage we use. We will update the effective date and, for material changes, notify registered users by email.
