Step by step
- Open Emergency alerts from the menu.
- Tap Send This Alert on the template that fits, such as Gas Leak, Fire or Explosion, or Site Evacuation. Or tap Send alert to write your own.
- Add what only you know: exactly where it is, which way to leave, and where to muster.
- Choose the site. The note under it says who it reaches and how many people.
- Tap Send Emergency Alert, then tap again to confirm.
- Open the alert in Alert history for the muster board: accounted for, outstanding, and everyone alerted. Anyone outstanding is listed by name.
What the crew sees
- The alert takes over the screen on every phone it reaches, with a siren and vibration, until they tap I Acknowledge This Alert. It is emailed too.
- If the acknowledgement cannot reach the office, the alert stays up and says so, so nobody is counted safe by mistake.
Good to know
- Who it reaches. A site alert goes to everyone at that site today, plus management and the safety lead. Safety managers and administrators can also send company-wide, or Escalate to company-wide from the muster board.
- Foremen can send one. A foreman's alert always goes to their own site. Editing the templates is for management.
- Call 911 first when lives are at risk. The alert is for getting your people out and counted.
