Tasks, time and parts
Here is how a technician records the job on a work order: the tasks, the time, and the parts.

Step by step
- Open your work order and go to Tasks & time.
- Tap Add task for each job on the unit, with the time you expect it to take.
- Tap Add time. Start the timer when you begin, or enter the minutes when you are done, with a short note on what you did.
- Keep each task's status current, so the board shows where the job is.
- On the Parts tab, tap Add part: part number, quantity, description, and where it is at, from requested through to installed.
Good to know
- Rates stay with the office. Technicians record the work; cost and sell rates show only to roles that see financials.
- Blocked or cancelled. Marking a task blocked or cancelled asks for the reason, and it goes on record.
Next: finishing a repair.
