Finish a repair

Here is how a technician finishes a repair and hands it over to be signed off.

Step by step

1. Open the work order and go to the Repair tab. The checklist shows what is still needed.
2. Fill in the repair record: the diagnosis, the part that failed, why it failed, and what you did to fix it.
3. Add the result of your road test or check, so the next person knows the repair holds.
4. Tap Save repair record. Each check ticks off as it is met.
5. With all six checks done, tap Submit for approval.

Good to know

• The six checks. Diagnosis recorded, correction recorded, every task complete or cancelled, no timer running, diagnosis and repair time logged, and a verification result where one is required.
• Who is named. The people who diagnosed, repaired and tested the unit come from their time entries.
• A technician cannot release the unit. A manager checks the work and signs it off.
