Release and close a work order
Here is how a manager signs off finished work and puts the unit back in service.

Step by step
- On the work board, filter to Ready to release.
- Open the work order. Check the completion checklist, the repair record, and who diagnosed, repaired and tested it.
- If something is missing, tap Return for correction with a note. It goes back to the technician.
- If it is right, choose Closed and set the state the unit goes back in.
- Enter the odometer or hour meter reading.
- Tap Close work order.
Good to know
- Why the reading matters. When a service plan on this job resets from the meter, the close waits for the reading.
- Who can release. Fleet managers, service managers, approvers, owners and administrators.
Next: printing a work order.
