Certificates and pre-CVIP

Here is how to keep certificates current, and get a unit ready for its CVIP inspection.

Step by step

1. Under Maintenance, Certificates shows each unit's CVIP, registration, insurance and permits, and the days each has left.
2. Anything expired or due soon is grouped at the top.
3. When a certificate is renewed, tap Record certificate: the type, the jurisdiction, the number, and the dates.
4. For a CVIP coming due, tap Prepare pre-CVIP and set when you want the unit ready.
5. Start the pre-CVIP inspection from the package. It opens with the unit already chosen.
6. Once it has passed, tap Mark sent to shop.

Good to know

• Muster tracks; it does not certify. Pre-CVIP is your own readiness check. The official certificate comes from a licensed inspection facility.
• Who can record certificates. Fleet managers, service managers, owners and administrators.
